Teresa Chong Dee Shiang was elected as MIA Council member on 26 September 2020.

Teresa is currently with the Assurance Practice of KPMG PLT Malaysia. She has been with KPMG PLT Malaysia since 1989.

Teresa is the Engagement Partner on a wide range of public listed and multinational companies in various industries such as food and beverage, hotel, manufacturing and trading sectors.

She has also worked on numerous corporate exercises including acting as reporting accountant for submission to the relevant authorities. Her other professional experiences include due diligence reviews, reviews of profit forecasts and other special engagements.

In addition, she had previously held the positions of President of CPA Australia for Malaysia Division and Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 2017 and 2018.

Teresa holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Teresa is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and member of the ASEAN CPA. She is also a fellow member of the CPA Australia.
