The Official Search service was introduced by the Institute to assist both members and the public to obtain information on members and/or member firms registered with the Institute.

The individual intending to do a search is required to complete a Search Form and forward the same to the Institute. The Institute would then respond officially to the individual and this will be done as soon as possible depending on the nature of the information requested.

Search on Members

Official search can be made on the following particulars:

  • Whether registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants

  • Category of membership

  • Membership number

  • Date of admission to the Malaysian Institute of Accountants

  • Whether sole proprietor or partner of member firm/s

  • Name of member firm/s attached to

  • Address and contact number of member firm/s attached to

  • Current member firm/s status (active/ closed)

  • Whether in possession of a valid practising certificate

Search on Firms

Official search can be made on the following particulars:

  • Whether registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants

  • Current status (active or closed)

  • Ownership (Sole Proprietor or Partnership)

  • Sole proprietor or Partner’s admission and/or resignation date

  • Firm Commencement date

  • Address and contact numbers

  • Branch/es – address and contact numbers (if any)
