DEAR MEMBER FIRM
MITI’S GUIDE TO SUBMIT COMPANY DECLARATION VIA CIMS 3.0We refer to MIA Statement on Government Eases Movement Control Order (MCO) Restrictions From 4 May 2020 dated 1 May 2020.In the above statement, the Institute highlighted some specific information relevant to member firms that would like to operate from 4 May 2020 onwards, one of which was that according to MITI, beginning from 4 May 2020, member firms must declare firm information and confirm adherence with MITI’s SOP to notification.miti.gov.my. It was also stated that firms are given up to 12 May 2020 to make such a declaration and that MITI will provide further information on the format of this declaration. We would like to highlight to member firms that based on the latest Guide to Submit Company Declaration via CIMS 3.0 issued by MITI recently, the above declaration will now be on a voluntary basis as opposed to being required by MITI. Hence, member firms are only encouraged to make a declaration. Please refer to the Guide for further information on the voluntary declaration.Kindly take note that there is a daily reporting requirement of Department of Occupational Health (DOSH), if you decide to declare voluntarily. Please be guided accordingly.

Yours faithfully,
