Dear Members,

The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) wishes to announce the appointment of YBhg Dato’ Muhammad Redzuan Abdullah, as the interim acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Institute with effect from 5 February 2022, until such time as a new permanent CEO is appointed.

As a key member of the management team, Dato’ Redzuan has served as the Executive Director, Surveillance & Enforcement of MIA for more than 5 years and has contributed greatly in driving the Institute’s role as the regulator and developer of the Malaysian accountancy profession.

The Institute is confident that Dato’ Redzuan will enable the continuity of MIA’s nation-building advocacy and build on the good work carried out by the incumbent CEO Dr. Nurmazilah Dato’ Mahzan, who will be ending her term of office on 4 February 2022. The Institute would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Nurmazilah for her leadership and to wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
