UPDATES ON FINANCE – ESSENTIAL SERVICES CLASSIFICATION FOR MIA MEMBER FIRMS UNDER THE COVID-19 MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER
Closure of Premises from 18 to 31 March 2020Pursuant to the query whether MIA Member Firms fall within the definition of “Finance” under essential services, MIA wrote to Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) seeking clarification on the matter. MKN has reverted to MIA today and confirmed that MIA Member Firms DO NOT fall under the definition of “Finance” essential services. Therefore, we advise all firms to adhere to the Movement Control Order.
Details on the essential services for “Finance” under the Movement Control Order are as attached in Lampiran A.
