1.1. UPDATED FAQS DATED 28 APRIL 2020 IN RELATION TO THE TAX OPERATIONS OF THE IRBM DURING THE EXTENSION OF MCO PERIOD UP TO 12 MAY 2020
Following the issuance of Circular No 45/2020 dated 22 April 2020, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) has uploaded the updated frequently asked questions (FAQs) in relation to the tax operations of the IRBM during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period up to 12 May 2020 at Hasil website.
The amendments are highlighted in red colour in the FAQs enclosed with this Circular.
2.UPDATED FAQS DATED 21 APRIL 2020 INCORPORATED SECTION G – CONTRIBUTIONS OR DONATIONS MADE TO APPROVED INSTITUTIONS OR FUNDS
Following the issuance of Circular No 45/2020 dated 22 April 2020, the IRBM has uploaded the updated FAQs in respect of the Movement Control Order (MCO) period at Hasil website by incorporating a new Section G on the contributions or donations made in cash or in kind to the approved institutions or funds in the enclosed FAQs with this circular.
The FAQs for Section G are highlighted in red colour in the FAQs referred to in this Circular.
3.FAQS ON REVISION OF TAX ESTIMATES AND DEFERMENT OF INSTALMENT PAYMENTS FOR TOURISM SECTOR AND SMALL MEDIUM ENTERPRISES UNDER THE ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGES 2020
The IRBM has issued the FAQs in relation to the revision of tax estimates and deferment of instalment payments for tourism sector and small medium enterprises under the Economic Stimulus Packages 2020.

4. SERVICE TAX POLICIES NO 9 AND 10/2020
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) has uploaded the following service tax policies onto the MySST website:
a) Service Tax Policy No 10/2020 – Service Tax Exemption on Provision of Digital Services Related to Banking/Financial Services; and
b) Service Tax Policy No 9/2020 – Service Tax Treatment on Group A: Accommodation First Schedule Service Tax Regulations 2018 Under Economic Stimulus Package 2020.
