REACTIVATION OF SSM’S EZ-BIZ ONLINE AND CLOSURE OF SSM’S PHYSICAL SERVICE COUNTERS UNTIL THE END OF MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (MCO) PERIOD

On 30 March 2020, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) announced the reactivation of SSM’s EzBiz Online, an official online business registration portal to allow users to do new business registration, change business particulars, terminate business and purchase business information. It is accessible 24 hours a day via https://ezbiz.ssm.com.my with effect from 30 March 2020 and it is an alternative to over-the-counter transactions of which SSM has announced that their physical service counters will remain closed until the end of MCO.

The reactivation is subsequent to the SSM’s announcement on 28 March regarding the gradual reactivation of its online services starting with SSM E-info (https://www.ssm-einfo.my) and Mydata-SSM (https://www.mydata-ssm.com.my) that are operating 24 hours a day with effect from 28 March 2020. Nonetheless, due to the limited number of SSM officers in order to comply with the MCO, only certain important online services will be activated currently. The status of other online services will be notified from time to time.

Meanwhile, SSM will continue to monitor the latest developments of the Government’s directives in controlling the COVID-19 outbreak and will inform stakeholders in stages on decisions affecting their affairs with SSM.
