Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) is a statutory body established under the Accountants Act, 1967 (“Act”) to regulate and develop the accountancy profession in Malaysia in support of nation building.

It has come to MIA’s attention that an individual named Victoria a/p Manohar, operating through her business entity Dr Account Global (Reg No. 202203096972), with a registered address B 2-6 Pangsapuri Seri Johor, Jalan Johor Semabok, 75050 Melaka, has been offering and/or otherwise communicating to the public in relation to accounting services and several packages to assist the public in applying for the MIA membership.

Please be advised that this individual is not registered with the MIA and does not hold a practising certificate issued by the MIA. Furthermore, MIA has not appointed or authorised any individual or business entity to assist with MIA membership applications. Applications for MIA membership must be submitted directly to MIA by individuals with recognised qualifications as specified under the Act.

Members of the public are reminded that under the Act, no person can provide accounting services unless the person is registered with MIA and hold a practising certificate issued by MIA. MIA will take appropriate actions against the aforementioned individual and her business entity.
