Member Firm Registration Requirements & Guidelines

  1. To submit online application via MIA website
  2. Approval letter for the proposed change of firm name will be issued by MIA.
    (This process will take about 7 working days)
  3. To submit the following to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM):
    1. Form under Section 265 (4), Companies Act 2016
    2. Approval letter for the proposed name from MIA.
  4. To update MIA with the following:
    • Log in to the MIA website and select the following:
      1. Click My Application History > View > Re-submit.
      2. Enclosed copy of updated Form under Section 265 (4) together with the SSM letter confirming the changes.
  5. To return the previously issued Registration of Firm Certificate.
  6. Registration of firm letter will be issued by MIA to confirm the firm registration.
    (This process will take about 7 working days)
  7. New Registration of Firm Certificate will be issued provided the previously issued Registration of Firm Certificate is returned. The new certificate will be issued within 3 weeks.
