1.HASIL CARE LINE OF THE INLAND REVENUE BOARD OF MALAYSIA RECOMMENCED THE OPERATIONS ON 30 MARCH 2020
On 30 March 2020, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) has published the media release to notify on the recommencement of operation of Hasil Care Line (HCL) on 30 March 2020. The HCL will answer the questions pertaining to ‘Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN)’. The other premises of the IRBM will be closed until the Movement Control Order (MCO) ends.
Details of the operation of HCL during the MCO are as follows:

2.MEDIA RELEASE BY THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE IN REGARD TO BANTUAN PRIHATIN NASIONAL
On 29 March 2020, the Ministry of Finance published the media release in regard to the BPN and also enclosed the frequently asked questions (FAQ) pertaining to BPN for B40 and M40 persons as announced in the Economic Stimulus Package “Prihatin Rakyat”. which can be accessed from the link below:

3.APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO INSTALMENT PAYMENTS BY INDIVIDUALS
The IRBM has uploaded the Form CP502 [Pin.1/2020] for individual taxpayers to apply for revision of tax instalment payments where the individual taxpayers disagree with the Notice of Instalment Payments (CP500). Form CP502 must be filled up by using a black ink pen and be submitted to the respective IRBM branch which handles the taxpayers’ file.
The due date for submission of Form 502 is not later than 30 June 2020. Any application submitted after the said due date will not be considered by the IRBM. The revised instalment payments will commence in the following month of the submission of Form CP502.

4.STATUTORY ORDERS PUBLISHED AT E-FEDERAL GAZETTE PORTAL
The statutory orders pertaining to Customs Act 1967 have been published on the e-Federal Gazette Portal recently. The summary of the said statutory orders are as follows:

P.U.(A) 94/2020 – Customs (Anti- Dumping Duties) (No.2) Order 2020 Anti-dumping duties shall be levied on and paid in cash by the importers in respect of cellulose fibre reinforced cement flat and pattern sheet (specifically excluding external roofing) import from Republic of Indonesia i.e. PT Etex Building Performance Indonesia and Others.

The rates for duty (percentage of the cost, insurance and freight value) are as follows:
i) PT Etex Building Performance Indonesia – 9.14%
ii) Others – 108.10%

(No 2) Order 2020
Part I of the Third Schedule of P.U.(A) 102/2017 is amended by inserting item 44 i.e. types of face mask. The manner of export to all countries is accompanied by a letter of approval by the Controller of Supplies, Ministry of Domestic Trade and This order came into operation on 20 March 2020. Consumers Affairs under the Control of Supplies Act 1961. This order came into operation on 20 March 2020.
