About The Programme

The MIA SMP Digital Accelerator Programme is a transformative initiative designed to support Small and Medium Practices (SMPs) in their digital adoption journey. The program aims to equip participants with the necessary insights to enhance their work processes, overcome key challenges, and achieve sustainable growth through digital transformation.

Objectives

Enhance and accelerate digital adoption by SMPs

Enable SMP to understand and enhance their own digital transformation roadmap to align with their strategy

Target Group

This programme is intended for SMPs that have embarked on their technology adoption journey, regardless of their current stage of progress. Whether at the initial or more advanced phases of adoption, the programme offers adaptable support tailored to meet the specific needs of each firm.

Selection Criteria

  • The participant must be a member firm of MIA

  • Partners of the participating firms must be MIA members in good standing and comply with the necessary CPE requirements.

  • The participant must be an SMP with less than 10 partners.

  • The member firm must have been in operation for at least 12 months as of the date of submission.

  • The participant must agree to all terms and conditions of the programme, including participation requirements, reporting obligations, mentorship commitments, and reimbursement conditions.

  • The participant must have embarked on, or is embarking on, the adoption of digital technology to improve work processes or service delivery prior to the application.

  • The participant must be able to clearly identify existing business challenges, operational pain points, and the key takeaways intended to be achieved through the programme.

  • The adoption of technology must fall within the programme’s defined scope of automation below.

  • The adoption of technology must be carried out between June and September 2026.

Sustainability / ESG-related solutions

SMPs that are currently adopting technology, or plan to further adopt technologies in one or more of the technology areas listed above, are invited to participate in this programme.

Programme Structure

Introduction

Introductory webinar providing an overview of the programme and participation details.

Application and Submission

Application period: 15 January 2026 to 28 February 2026

Review and Selection

Successful applicants will be notified via email after the review and selection process

Physical Workshop

A full-day physical workshop to enhance digital transformation roadmap and mentors introduction

Mentoring Sessions

– 3 personalised mentoring sessions providing tailored guidance on digital transformation journey

– SMPs will be required to coordinate the session timings with their mentor based on availability

Funding Utilisation

– Each SMP is expected to commence adoption of the identified technology, to be completed within the period from June 2026 to September 2026

– A maximum fund  of RM5,000 will be provided on a reimbursement basis in two stages

Reporting

– Each SMP is required to complete a report on the impact of the technology adoption on their practice, using the success metrics provided.

– The feedback is to be submitted after 6 to 12 months of technology implementation

    SMPs will receive three tailored mentoring sessions, providing focused and practical guidance on digital transformation strategies and the effective adoption of relevant technologies.

  • Enhancement of Digital Transformation Plan / Roadmap

    SMPs will be able to enhance their digital transformation plan/ roadmap, customised to align with their specific needs, operations, and long-term goals—ensuring a clear, strategic path to effective technology adoption and sustainable growth.

  • Access to Industry Experts

    Benefit from the guidance of experienced mentors—whether industry coaches or technology providers—who bring practical insights and deep expertise to help SMPs identify and adopt technologies best suited to their firm’s unique needs and objectives.

  • Disbursement of Financial Assistance

    Financial assistance of a maximum of RM5,000 will be provided to SMPs on a reimbursement basis to support the adoption of technology, in accordance with the programme’s defined scope of automation.

  • Case Studies

    SMPs will have the opportunity to showcase their firm’s successful transformation through case studies. These success stories not only highlight their achievements but also strengthen their reputation by positioning their firm as an innovative, forward-thinking business.

Disbursement Method

Disbursement of financial assistance (a maximum of RM5,000) shall be made i two stages:

  1. 60% upon verification of valid supporting documents during the technology adoption phase; and
  2. 40% upon submission of final report to MIA.
