MIA is currently making efforts to implement the CSAP Report’s recommentations to strengthen the accountancy education sector and capturing opportunities as the hub of accountancy training.

Among the proposed recommendations under the CSAP Report are:

• Encourage cross fertilisation programmes between industries universities
• Encourage placement programmes for lecturers with industries
• Encourage professional accountants to teach at IHLs and consider having concept ‘co-lecturers’ for certain subjects such as auditing and advanced accounting
