
YBhg. Datuk Nor Yati Ahmad
YBhg. Datuk Nor Yati Ahmad is the Accountant General of Malaysia. Prior to that, she was the Deputy Accountant General (Corporate) and has served as an accountant in the public sector for 30 years at various federal and state levels.
She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Fellow Certified Practising Accountant Australia (FCPA Australia). She is also appointed as a member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board and also member of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
She has been extensively involved in various task-based groups, particularly in the field of accounting, including the development of accounting standards. Currently, she is a Chairman of Government Accounting Standard Advisory Committee, which issues Malaysian Public Sector Accounting Standard (MPSAS). She is also a Chairman of Public Sector Accounting Committee of Malaysian Institute of Accountant, a Chairman of Islamic Accounting Standards Advisory Committee which issuing Islamic Accounting Standard for Baitulmal, Zakat and Waqf. She has also been appointed as a board member in several Malaysia’s Statutory Bodies and Malaysian Government-Linked Companies (GLCs). Recently, she has been appointed as a Professor Adjunct at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.
She holds a Master of Accountancy and Finance from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
