Tan Lay Khoon was appointed as MIA Council member on 3 June 2024.

Lay Khoon, with extensive experience at Bursa Malaysia, dedicates herself to the regulatory work which involves overseeing major corporate developments to uphold market integrity.

Her unique blend of regulatory expertise and corporate background has led to her role as Bursa Malaysia’s representative on matters related to financial reporting, accounting and auditing. She actively collaborates with fellow regulators in Malaysia’s Capital and Financial Markets, demonstrating unwavering commitment to excellence in the nation’s financial landscape. Lay Khoon actively participates as a committee member and observer in various committees within the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and contributes to Working Groups of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB). She is also a committee member of SIDC (Securities Commission).

She holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) Degree from University of Malaya (UM).

Lay Khoon is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and CPA Australia. She is also a member of the ASEAN CPA.
