Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mazlina Mustapha was appointed as MIA Council member on 1 August 2019.

She is currently appointed as a primary reviewer of the Ethics Committee for research involving human subjects at the University Putra Malaysia (UPM). She was appointed as Head of Department for the Department of Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Economics and Management (now known as School of Business and Economics), UPM in 2017. Prior to joining the academic line, she was also an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. and an accountant at Sapura Industrial Bhd (formerly known as Sapura Motors Bhd).

Dr. Mazlina holds a degree in Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). She obtained her PhD in Audit and Corporate Governance from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

Dr. Mazlina is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and an associate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM).
