CONDITIONS FOR THE MANUFACTURING SECTOR OPERATIONS FOLLOWING FROM THE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER FROM 18 MARCH TO 31ST MARCH 2020 “SYARAT-SYARAT OPERASI SEKTOR PEMBUATAN SUSULAN PERINTAH KAWALAN PERGERAKAN MULAI 18 HINGGA 31 MAC 2020”
We would like to share with members, especially those involved in the manufacturing sector, information received from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).In order to minimise disruption to the supply chain of food and other critical needs, MITI held discussions with industry players and relevant stakeholders to consider allowing the continued operations of manufacturers which are identified as critical.
In this connection, the Government, as announced by the National Security Council on 18th Mac 2020, has agreed to give exemption to certain sectors that are manufacturing critical products to continue operations from 18th to 31st March 2020.For more information, you may visit the MITI website at https://www.miti.gov.my/index.php/pages/view/6215 or email to covid19.mfg@miti.org.myWe would like to highlight that the approval can be cancelled or withdrawn if the conditions are not adhered to by the manufacturers.
