Terms of Reference:
The Executive Committee is established by the Council as an operating committee which is to function as a medium between the Council and the management centre (MAAA Secretariat) to ensure that the business strategies, daily operation and any operational issues are carried out efficiently and effectively and that the requirements of good corporate governance are observed.

Terms of Reference:
- To consider and recommend to Council major long-term objectives and overall policy of the Association;
- To make proposal to Council on Committees’ structure and composition and provide overall coordination and control;
- To be responsible for the financial management of the Association;
- To be responsible for the smooth functioning of the Secretariat and establishment matters; and
- To co-ordinate international and any other activities of the Association.

Terms of Reference:
- To organize education and training programmes for students;
- To plan and administer continuing programmes for members;
- To liaise with institutions of higher learning and other local and overseas organization, professional or otherwise, and affiliates in matters pertaining to education and training;
- To periodically review the Association’s examinations syllabus, or as and when required;
- To evaluate courses/qualifications for the purpose of student registration and/or exemption from the Association’s examinations;
- To recommend materials for reference and research; and
- Any other duties and functions which are reasonable deemed to be relevant and appropriate.

- To review and make recommendations to Council on the conditions for admitting suitably qualified individuals as members;
- To consider and make recommendations to Council on applications for admission as Accounting Administrators or Associate Accounting Technicians; and
- To consider and make recommendations to Council on applications for elevation from Associate Accounting Technicians to Accounting Administrators.

Terms of Reference:
- To create awareness among prospective members and the public of the Association’s existence and its objectives;
- To embark on publicity campaigns pertaining to the Association’s various activities, current events and developments;
- To undertake the role of public relations among other sub-professional accounting associations, statutory bodies, ministries and other government agencies;
- To promote foreign exposure and responsible for the Association’s international relations and activities through international discussion forums and conferences; and
- To work closely with other Committees in organizing programmes to promote its examinations and/or membership to the public.
